alphamesh 7.0 is honoured
The German Design Council and Messe Frankfurt trade fair corporation award “dishi” the title “Design Plus”.
In a two-year cycle the label “Design Plus” awards products which must qualify through the utilisation of innovative materials or processing technologies. Evaluation criteria for the panel of experts are design quality, choice of materials, functionality, technical quality, ecological quality and overall concept. And precisely with that the two-part ensemble comprised of a hard porcelain shell and a suspension sieve made of alphamesh 7.0 convince and surprise in the selected material combination, whereby the ring mesh stands for the function of “dishi”. Material can be washed and simultaneously stored in the sieve, since air always circulates and aerates the stored material through the selected sieve form and the dimensioning on the bottom of the shell.

Design with water
alphamesh and water. A fascinating encounter.
Since time immemorial, humans have marvelled at the medium that is water. Virtually no barrier could seem to tame or hold it back. A splash of this magic is shared with us by nature to gushing effect in its large waterfalls, while it also comes to life when alphamesh and water are brought together to sensational effect. This very special effect also surfaces if water is conveyed over a vertically chainmail mesh. It appears as if alphamesh would absorb the energy of the falling water. The water accumulates at particular predestined points, where it seems to linger for an second, before letting its grasp again in a single wave. Only to be repeated once again – water demonstrates to us its fluid eternity. This pattern of movement repeats itself as long as the water flows. It can be modulated by decreasing or increasing the volume of water being allowed to cascade. Light sculpts mood and ambiance, forming reflections on the mesh and in the water, floating on the surface of fluid movement.
Progressing the idea and the realisation of a waterfall, with the striking height of fourteen metres, promesh has developed an individual system for waterfalls with alphamesh, which can be installed in any room and even outside. The system has variable dimensions whereby the functionality determines the exact appearance. It could be incorporated into public buildings or in hotel and company lobbies or similar areas, into shop designs or even into private homes.
The alphamesh waterfall will also be available for rent, making it ideal for trade fairs and other events where embodying class and style mean more business for your business.
