Grand Egyptian Museum | Cairo | alphamesh 7.0 Bronze

Grand Egyptian MuseumA world landmark wears alphamesh

After more than two decades of planning, one of the most significant cultural projects of our time opened on November 1, 2025: the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo – spectacularly located right next to the Pyramids of Giza.

The world’s largest archaeological museum combines thousands of years of history with contemporary architecture of the highest standard. It is here that alphamesh was able to become part of an extraordinary interior design concept.

Scenography meets material innovation

In collaboration with the renowned Stuttgart-based scenography studio Atelier Brückner, an architectural highlight was created in the heart of the museum:
the ceiling of the central exhibition hall, where, among other things, the legendary mask of Tutankhamun is on display.

Covering an area of around 700 m², alphamesh 7.0 Bronze makes a powerful design statement. As a shimmering, spatial structure, the metal mesh lends the room depth, rhythm, and a special atmosphere.

Light, space, and history in balance

The finely structured metal mesh reacts sensitively to light and perspective. It creates transparency and presence at the same time – an architectural connection between modern museum architecture and the monumental history of ancient Egypt.

The result is a spatial experience that not only guides visitors, but also touches them emotionally.

Architecture with cultural appeal

This project impressively demonstrates what alphamesh stands for:
tailor-made solutions, material precision, and the ability to help shape architecture at the highest international level.

A world landmark wears alphamesh.
And thus becomes part of a new architectural narrative.
